I've started the process of building a home theater projector.  Yes, building it!   Hopefully for under $200 total cost, with better resolution/features/picture quality than your average home projector.

 We'll be converting one of our basement rooms into a home theater, with somewhere around a 9 or 10 feet diameter screen, using MythTV on a computer as our media server.
